V2-T Elite Series · Class-T fuse · Victron ready
Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite Series LiFePO4 Battery | Built-In Fuse, Victron & Bluetooth
The Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite is a premium 5.12kWh lithium battery built for serious 48V off-grid solar, marine, RV, and backup power systems. It combines a user-serviceable 250A Eaton Class T fuse, native Victron CAN communication, Bluetooth monitoring through the included battery gauge, internal heating and an IP67 enclosure (dust-tight; temporary immersion to 1 m for 30 min) in one rugged high-capacity LiFePO4 platform.
Premium V2-T safety and integration
Safety: the V2-T Class T fuse
Built for high-current 48V systems that need more than basic lithium storage.
The Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite Series LiFePO4 battery is engineered for advanced users who need a high-performance 48V 100Ah LiFePO4 battery with smart protections, rugged construction, and ecosystem integration. With 5.12kWh of lithium storage, this V2-T Elite Series battery is an ideal foundation for 48V off-grid solar systems, marine house banks, RV inverter systems, and Victron-powered energy builds.
The major difference is protection and serviceability: the V2-T has a user-serviceable 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel, which improves source protection at the battery. A main fuse or DC-rated breaker close to the battery positive, a disconnect and correct cable sizing are still required.
User-serviceable, built-in Class-T fuse
The V2-T places a 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel, so a fuse that opens can be replaced without opening the case. It improves source protection at the battery but does not replace the main disconnect, correct downstream protection or cable sizing: install a DC-rated fuse or circuit breaker in the positive conductor as close to the battery as practical, and follow the electrical codes that apply (for boats and RVs, they limit the distance between the battery and the main fuse).
UL-certified components and advanced BMS
The built-in smart BMS helps protect against overcharge, over-discharge, over-current, short circuits, and temperature extremes. The cells are listed to UL 1642, UL 9540A and IEC 62619:2022, the internal fuse to UL 60691, and the battery meets UN 38.3 for transport.
IP67 dust-tight, immersion-rated casing
The IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion to 1 m for 30 minutes with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion, so install it where it stays dry in normal use.

Victron and charging setup note
Program all charge sources for a 48V LiFePO4 profile.
Program every charge source, Victron equipment included, to 56.8V bulk/absorption (at least 15 minutes per battery in the bank), 54.0V float, equalization disabled and temperature compensation disabled (0 mV/°C), with no more than 100A continuous per battery from all sources combined; never exceed 58.0V. Under Victron DVCC the battery sets these limits automatically, and the programmed values keep charging correct if CAN communication is lost. For Victron systems, set the DIP switches, connect the communication harness to the GX device (BMS-CAN, or VE.Can at 500 kbit/s), enable DVCC, and set Epoch as the controlling BMS and battery monitor.
Always follow the product label, current Epoch manual, charger documentation, and project-specific engineering requirements. The internal Class T fuse improves source protection, but it does not replace the main disconnect, correct downstream protection, cable sizing, or a complete system protection plan.
IP67 enclosure
Dust-tight and rated for temporary immersion.
The IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion: install the battery where it stays dry in normal use, away from standing water and spray, with all harness connectors fully seated.
Frequently asked questions
Common questions about the Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite battery.
What does V2-T mean and why is the built-in Class-T fuse important?
The V2-T has a user-serviceable 250A Eaton Class T fuse behind a sealed top service panel; the 48V 100Ah V2 Elite (model C48100A) has a built-in fuse instead and its own manual. The Class T fuse improves source protection at the battery, but it does not replace the main disconnect, correct downstream protection or cable sizing: install a DC-rated fuse or circuit breaker in the positive conductor as close to the battery as practical, and follow the codes that apply to the installation.
If the internal Class-T fuse blows, is the battery ruined?
No. The V2-T Elite Series is designed with a user-serviceable internal Class-T fuse. If a dead-short or severe fault opens the fuse, the fuse can be accessed through the sealed top service panel and replaced with the correct specified Class-T fuse after the system has been safely shut down and inspected by a qualified installer.
Does the 48V V2-T connect directly to my Victron system?
Yes. The Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T Elite Series battery supports native CANBus communication for Victron systems. When connected to a compatible Victron GX device such as a Cerbo GX or Ekrano GX, the battery can provide BMS data for DVCC, state-of-charge reporting, alarms, and coordinated charging control.
What size 48V inverter can a single 48V 100Ah V2-T battery run?
A single Epoch 48V 100Ah V2-T battery is rated for 150A continuous discharge and 300A for 30 seconds. At 51.2V, 150A is about 7,680W DC before inverter losses. To size an inverter, estimate its DC input current as AC load (W) ÷ (battery voltage × inverter efficiency): for example, a 2,000W load through a 90%-efficient inverter draws about 2,000 ÷ (51.2 × 0.90) ≈ 43A. If the inverter's continuous DC input can exceed 150A, add batteries in parallel so the current per battery stays within the rating.
Can I connect these 48V batteries in series to make a 96V system?
No. This 48V battery is designed for 48V / 51.2V nominal systems and should not be wired in series. It can be wired in parallel with matching batteries, up to 16 batteries total, to increase total capacity while staying at the same 48V nominal voltage.
How does the self-heating feature work in freezing conditions?
When the battery is too cold to safely accept a charge, the smart BMS protects the lithium cells and uses incoming charge current to power the internal heating pads first. Once the cells reach a safe charging temperature, the BMS allows normal charging to resume. This supports cold-weather charging down to -22°F / -30°C when external charge current is available.
Is the battery completely waterproof?
No. The IP67 rating means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes, with all seals and glands installed. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion: install the battery where it stays dry in normal use, away from standing water and spray, with all harness connectors fully seated.
