The Ultimate 24V Power Solution: Key Features

A premium 24V marine lithium battery, off-grid 24V solar battery, 24V RV battery upgrade, and 24V trolling motor battery platform.

Native Victron Integration via CANBus

Use this Victron compatible lithium battery with compatible Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX, and other GX device installations. CANBus battery communication lets the BMS share battery data with the Victron system for smarter monitoring and DVCC-controlled charging when configured according to Epoch guidance.

Cold Weather Ready: Built-in Self-Heating

LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below 0°C (32°F). When a charge source is connected and the cells are too cold, the BMS holds off normal charging while the internal heater, powered by the charge source, warms the cells; charging resumes once they reach 5°C (41°F). With self-heating, charging is supported from -22°F / -30°C ambient, and discharge is available down to -4°F / -20°C without heating.

Smart App Monitoring via Bluetooth

Bluetooth through the included battery gauge connects to the Epoch Li-Ion app (iOS and Android), so users can monitor state of charge, voltage, current, cell voltages, temperatures, history and warnings directly from a smartphone, and install firmware updates over the air. With several batteries, the dashboard also shows bank totals, with a toggle between series and parallel views.

IP67 Enclosure & Rugged Durability

The sealed IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes. It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion, so in marine compartments, RV bays, off-grid cabins, and overland rigs install it upright and secured against vibration, where it stays dry in normal use, with all harness connectors fully seated.

Unmatched Power, Scalability & Safety

High-output performance for larger 24V loads and expandable energy banks.

Run Heavy Loads: 110A Continuous Discharge

With 110A continuous discharge (about 2,816W DC at 25.6V before inverter losses) and 300A peak discharge for short durations, the Epoch 24V 230Ah V2 supports 24V inverter systems, RV air conditioning, marine house loads, 24V trolling motors, and other properly designed high-demand systems. If an inverter’s continuous DC input can exceed 110A, add batteries in parallel so the current per battery stays within the rating.

Wire Up to 16 Batteries in Parallel

Scale from a single 5.89kWh lithium battery to energy storage banks of up to 16 batteries in parallel (3,680Ah, 94.21kWh). The V2 Elite platform can also support up to 2 batteries in series for a 51.2V nominal (48V-class) string when installed according to Epoch’s guidance. Series-parallel arrays are not covered by the published DIP switch settings; contact Epoch before designing one.

Certified Components & 11-Year Warranty

The V2 Elite platform includes advanced BMS protection, a 270A internal fuse (UL 60691), UL 1642, UL 9540A and IEC 62619:2022 cells, 3,500+ cycle life, maintenance-free operation, and an 11-year limited manufacturer warranty.

Victron-ready system communication

Built to communicate directly with compatible Victron GX devices.

The V2 Elite platform uses CANBus communication at 500 kbit/s so the battery BMS can share data with compatible Victron GX devices; with DVCC on, the battery sets the charge voltage and current limits of Victron chargers. For Victron installations, configure the communication harness, DIP switches, BMS-CAN or VE.Can port speed, DVCC, controlling BMS, and battery monitor according to Epoch setup instructions. Program every charge source, including Victron equipment, to Epoch’s recommended 24V charging settings so charging stays correct if CAN communication is lost; without a GX device, use lithium-compatible charging equipment programmed to the same settings.

IP67 enclosure protection

Dust-tight. Immersion-rated. Install it where it stays dry.

The IP67-rated enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes (IEC 60529). It is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion: in RV, marine, overland, and off-grid installations, mount the battery upright and secured, where it stays dry in normal use, away from standing water and spray, with protected cabling and all harness connectors fully seated.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about Victron integration, self-heating, Bluetooth monitoring, marine use, and inverter sizing.

Does the Epoch 24V 230Ah V2 connect directly to my Victron system?

Yes. The battery communicates over CAN bus at 500 kbit/s with compatible Victron GX devices, including Cerbo GX, Ekrano GX and Cerbo GX Mk2 installations. The included communication harness has a grey RJ45 plug for the GX device’s BMS-CAN port; on a Cerbo GX Mk2, use VE.Can 1 or VE.Can 2 and set the port speed to 500 kbit/s. For a bank, RJ45 cables link each battery’s black port to the next battery’s blue port, up to 16 batteries in parallel. Set the DIP switches on every battery, then turn on DVCC and set the controlling BMS and the battery monitor to Epoch: the battery then reports its status and sets the charge voltage and current limits of Victron chargers.

How does the self-heating feature work in freezing weather?

LiFePO4 cells must not be charged below 0°C (32°F). When a charge source is connected and the cells are too cold, the BMS holds off normal charging while the internal heater, powered by the charge source, warms the cells. Charging resumes automatically when the cells reach 5°C (41°F), so expect a delay before the state of charge starts to rise. With self-heating, charging is supported from an ambient temperature as low as -22°F / -30°C, and discharge is available down to -4°F / -20°C without heating.

Can I connect these 24V batteries in series or parallel?

Yes. The Epoch 24V 230Ah V2 Elite battery supports up to 16 batteries in parallel for a 24V bank of up to 3,680Ah (94.21kWh), or up to 2 batteries in series for a 51.2V nominal (48V-class) string that reaches 58.4V at full charge, so every charger, inverter, fuse, switch and conductor must be rated for the string voltage. Use matched C24230A batteries of the same age, capacity, and state of charge, set the DIP switches for the bank, and follow Epoch’s installation and communication setup instructions. Series-parallel arrays are not covered by the published DIP switch settings; contact Epoch before designing one.

Is the Epoch 24V 230Ah battery suitable for marine environments?

Yes, for marine house banks, yachts and cruising boats, 24V trolling motors and marine electronics. The IP67 enclosure is dust-tight and protected against temporary immersion in up to 1 m of water for 30 minutes, but it is not rated for water jets, pressure washing or continuous submersion. Install the battery upright and secured against vibration and wave impact, in a dry, ventilated location away from standing water and spray, with protected cabling and all harness connectors fully seated. It is a deep-cycle battery, not a cranking battery for engine starting.

What size inverter can a single 24V 230Ah V2 battery run?

A single battery is rated for 110A continuous discharge, about 2,816W DC at 25.6V before inverter losses. The DC input current is roughly the AC load divided by (battery voltage × inverter efficiency): a 2,000W load through an inverter assumed to be 90% efficient draws about 2,000 ÷ (25.6 × 0.90) ≈ 87A. If the inverter’s continuous DC input can exceed 110A, add batteries in parallel so the current per battery stays within the rating, and size cables, fusing and the disconnect for the maximum system current.

What information does the Epoch Bluetooth app provide?

Bluetooth runs through the included battery gauge and connects to the Epoch Li-Ion app (iOS and Android), where the battery appears as C24230A_ followed by its serial number. The dashboard shows state of charge, voltage, current, power, remaining capacity and warnings for each battery, and bank totals with several batteries. The Cells screen shows each cell’s voltage, the cell balance and the temperature readings; History graphs voltage, current, state of charge, capacity and temperature; Battery events logs BMS protections; and the About page installs firmware updates over the air. Bluetooth range is typically about 10 m (33 ft).
